From The Desk Of The A Cappella Society - December 2003 Ho Ho Ho everyone! Christmas is round the corner and we are happy to share with you that November has simply been a really awesome month! We’ve had the pleasure of meeting the Flying Pickets in Taiwan, Idea of North in KL, Larry Detwiler of Joint Sound A Cappella, and Tobias Hug of the Swingle Singers all in one month! Totally mind-blowing and very inspirational. Kekeke In December, we take a break from Sunday Vocal Jam due to over-packed performance and vacation schedules of everyone involved but we look forward to seeing you again in January! So, here’s to a wonderful Christmas and a meaningful New Year! Sunday Vocal Jam 30 Nov 2003

The A Cappella Society presents Sunday Vocal Jam The Play Den @ The Arts House at The Old Parliament. (Located next to Victoria Concert Hall and City Hall (aka Padang) Hi folks, Just a gentle reminder that Sunday Vocal Jam is this Sunday (30th Nov) at the The Old Parliament House from 4pm - 6pm . Admission is FREE! Please call 97921429 or email zara@pacific.net.sg to reserve your seats. (Limited seats) We'll be singing to Gweneth Paltrow's Cruisin and 98 Degrees' I Do Cherish You. (Love ballads month). We'll also get to watch the premier performances of all-guy team SWAT and the ladies from the a cappella training class at the Temasek Polytechnic. Of course we will see Resonance again this month who will guide us through the arrangements. We are also expecting guests from KL. Hi everyone and welcome to the November issue of The Singapore A Cappella Scene! It's an exciting time for the society as our resident a cappella group, The Notations, makes its way to Taiwan for a performance at the Asian A Cappella Festival today! Two other college groups, VoiceBox and Dischordant will travel up with the team to compete in the College Competition - please keep us in your prayers! We'll be back over the weekend with more news, so for now, don't forget to jot down the dates of Camp A Cappella on the 27th & 28th and Sunday Vocal Jam on the 30th!
