Camp A Cappella 2004

Hi everyone! A final pitch for Camp A Cappella 2004 :). We are excited to host the 5-time Grammy Award winning group, The Swingle Singers this year and we have our fave clinician Larry Detwiler back again with us and together, they will bring you an excellent line up of workshop topics and classes. It'll be awesome! * Please note we have now bundled the workshops into a one-day event. Date: 4th December Venue: Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Campus 1. Bencoolen Street. Classrooms: B2-02/03/04 (2nd Level) [Follow the signage] Registration: 9amTime: 9.30am - 6.30pm Workshops Galore! Day Passes: $25 (students) / $35 adults. From the Desk of the A Cappella Society – Christmas Issue 2004 Seasons Greetings to everyone!The year end is always filled with lots of music-making by acappella singers. Here's a list of gigs at the Esplanade, Bugis Junction and other venues. ( Please continue to send us your dates, groups !!) Congratulations to Vocaluptuous who will record their 2nd album soonand in LA! Stevie Wonder is in the pipeline as well. Kudos! Congrats also to Budak Pantai for launching their Christmas Album!We are really proud of all these groups who really create headway for younger groups. Yea, I'd not believe it too! Tic Tac Tone is carolling this season, and yours truly has been properly chastised for not promptly announcing TTT's Xmas gig at the Esplanade. We had a blast singing festive favourites like Jingle Bell Rock, Last Christmas and Jingle Bells and we'd really like for all of you to join us. A Capella Attack!

A Capella Attack! This event is co-organised by the National ParksBoard and National Arts Council. Date: Every 3rd Saturday of the month, from 18December 04 Time: 5.00 to 6:00 pm Venue:West Coast Park National Parks Board and National Arts Councilwill be rolling out a new series of freeperformances together at West Coast Park from18th December 2004. After quite a few years of big celebrations - featuring choirs, bands and on one year as many as 5 different singing groups, this17th of December, we're finally coming to our senses and having justa little Christmas celebration for a change. As it turns out, Christmas is all about little things - little baby,little manger, and O Little Town of Bethlehem - so I think we're ingood company.So we'll be having a little food, a little drink and just oneperforming group this year...and yes, it's going to be Budak.
