1) CAMP A CAPPELLA 101

Calling all interested participants to this year's Camp A Cappella 101. This is the 1st of 2 installments for the camp this year. This first installement will be led by Mr Larry Detwiler who has been conducting a cappella classes and programmes for over 25 years now and whose high school a cappella group, Joint Sound is the only group in the world to be included in all CD compilations for Best High School A Cappella Recordings each year.
You will learn to perform 2 songs at the camp and will be led through topics from singing technique to workong on blend and harmony and exploring stage craft 101 and vocal percussion 101. Participants will get to try everything hands-on and will be broken up into teams to work on the songs. Groups and individuals are welcomed.
For the experienced singers and performers, we'll see you at November 25th (9am - 6pm)installment where we will host a professional a cappella team from the US.
2) NATIONAL A CAPPELLA CHAMPIONSHIPS'06
Finals : 19th July at the Esplanade Concourse (FREE ADMISSION for all supporters)
$10 / $5 (students) per participant.

Calling all a cappella groups from Singapore and within the region. Registration is now opened for the annual National A Cappella Championships. Pls send in all registrations as soon as possible. Closing date is June 20th 2006.
All participants will be invited to the Workshop on 16th July, 3pm-6pm (venue to be confirmed) with singer, song-writer and arranger, Ms Annie Nepomuceno (III of A Kind - Philippines) who will run a Masterclass on singing technique, solo delivery, and stage craft. This Masterclass is opened to the public at $15 per participant.
This is organised by The A Cappella Society and is part of the SHINE 2006 Festival.
This event is supported by MYCS and the National Youth Council.
