About Juz-B
Probably one of the most popular and well-known bands coming out from Channel U's "Superband" competition. Juz-B's niche is in the fact that this all-malay a cappella group sings mandarin songs throughout the whole competition which is definitely an eye-opener and acrowd puller during its "Superband" days. It could also be said that Juz-B was the PIONEER group/performer that transcends the language barrier in a national televised competition in Singapore'sTV history. Even before "Superband", Juz-B has been making waves locally and throughout the region. Known for their soulful performances – this award-winning groupbagged awards at the 2nd Asian A Cappella Festival / Competition as well as captured the hearts of Taiwanese a cappella supporters in Taipei as well as China when they were invited to perform for the ASEAN Summit in Nanning. This group of passionate and talented young men formed thegroup early 1995 to pursue singing and dancing and has entered numerous competitions island-wide, which has fuelled their drive and interest and thus continuing their passion for performing and sharing A cappella music with the masses. Juz-B was formed in the year 1995 with only 3 members. In 1997, with theaddition of two new members, the group became a quintet performingmostly for their school's events. Juz-B started off as an acousticband and was also tagged as a "Boy-Band" participating in a number of singing and dancing competitions, namely, Asia Bagus, Max magazine dance competition and Lime magazine look alike competition. Juz-B became a full-fledged a cappella group late 2001. Since then, Juz-B continues to perform in numerous events and shows island-wide aswell as around the region. The group prides itself in its selection of English pop songs as well as Malay and Mandarin pop ballads and pop rock songs. Known for its excellent groove, cool choreo and wacky on-stage antics, these young men have set their hearts in exploring the world of a cappella and sharingits wonders with the masses both locally and overseas.

The House Jacks in Singapore!!

Review: Our local percussionist star, Peter Huang opened the show for the House Jacks (HJs). He introduced a song or 2 from his debut solo album which the instruments were vocalised by him using layering to create a 'band sound'. However, the audience didn't take to his performance. It was grating to the ears when he made certain sounds: more like noise than music to the ears. There was a slight limp in his leg since his recovery from an accident, which prevented him from dancing around the stage too much. I think it's better that he sticks to his vocal percussion than his weak singing or hiphop rap. People were more impressed with his percussion than him singing or rapping. Good & tight harmony I would say. If you have heard Wes Carrol, the group percussionist, Peter Huang seem amateurish. Real solid vocal percussion from Wes. The bass is Bert Bacco, showing off his really deep rumble. Next is Deke Sharon and Garth Kravitis, the group's vocal instrumentalist wh
