(11) COMMENTS ? A Note from the Real Group's Peder Karlson
Dear friends,Just wanna tell you that The Real Group will host an a cappella festival in South Korea in August this year. Maybe you do not have an opportunity to be there ;-) but anyway, there will be another three groups in the festival - M-Pact (USA), Rajaton(Finland) andThe Idea Of North (Australia). All those groups rank among the best in the world, and they appear at The Real Group's suggestion. We have done a 35-second track together... a "festival signature tune"... it wasa lot of fun to do it with people from all over the world. Maybe you like to hear iteven if it's just a silly tune! ;-) Feel free to forward it to people you think need to hear it.;-) TRG will also do 2 concerts in Stockholm, together with M-Pact and Rajaton, at avenue named Rival, May 16th at 6 pm and 9 pm. That should be closer for most of you.;-)Don't miss it if you happen to be in the neighborhood, it's a pretty uniqueevent.Wishing you all a very good spring!!!!Listen to the tune at www.a-cappella.org.sg/artistes/TRG/AmazingVoiceMIX.mp3

The House Jacks in Singapore!!

Review: Our local percussionist star, Peter Huang opened the show for the House Jacks (HJs). He introduced a song or 2 from his debut solo album which the instruments were vocalised by him using layering to create a 'band sound'. However, the audience didn't take to his performance. It was grating to the ears when he made certain sounds: more like noise than music to the ears. There was a slight limp in his leg since his recovery from an accident, which prevented him from dancing around the stage too much. I think it's better that he sticks to his vocal percussion than his weak singing or hiphop rap. People were more impressed with his percussion than him singing or rapping. Good & tight harmony I would say. If you have heard Wes Carrol, the group percussionist, Peter Huang seem amateurish. Real solid vocal percussion from Wes. The bass is Bert Bacco, showing off his really deep rumble. Next is Deke Sharon and Garth Kravitis, the group's vocal instrumentalist wh
