Sorry for the delay as my e-mail kept breaking down. Anyway, here is one exciting new event from the A Cappella Society of Singapore.


We thoroughly enjoyed having Tine Fris in for Vocal Edge and TAS teams also had the chance to do a series of performances at the Esplanade.

Summer is upon us again and with it comes new gigs and (hopefully) some new merchandise.
 
We're excited to be doing a combined show with some old friends of ours as well as heading back to one of our favorite venues on the North Shore.

Come see us perform (for FREE) at the Malden Public Library as part of the 2014 Summer Lawn Concert Series.
 
The show starts at 7:00pm and is free and open to the public.  So bring your entire family, some snacks, and a blanket and we'll see you there.

We're excited to return to the Firehouse Center for the Arts in Newburyport, MA for a summer evening performance.
 
The show starts at 8:00pm.

We're thrilled to be performing with our friends, Ball In The House! The combined show will take place on August 8, 2014 at The Center for Arts at the Armory in Somerville, MA.
 
Doors open at 7:00pm and the show starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are $12 adults/$10 children in advance ($15 adults/$12 children at the door).
 
Be sure you buy your tickets online today to save a few bucks.

The House Jacks in Singapore!!

Review: Our local percussionist star, Peter Huang opened the show for the House Jacks (HJs). He introduced a song or 2 from his debut solo album which the instruments were vocalised by him using layering to create a 'band sound'. However, the audience didn't take to his performance. It was grating to the ears when he made certain sounds: more like noise than music to the ears. There was a slight limp in his leg since his recovery from an accident, which prevented him from dancing around the stage too much. I think it's better that he sticks to his vocal percussion than his weak singing or hiphop rap. People were more impressed with his percussion than him singing or rapping. Good & tight harmony I would say. If you have heard Wes Carrol, the group percussionist, Peter Huang seem amateurish. Real solid vocal percussion from Wes. International A Cappella Festival for 2009 info

INTERNATIONAL A CAPPELLA FESTIVAL 14 -18OCT 2009 The A Cappella Society would like to invite you to our International A Cappella Festival for 2009. The Festival will take place at the Esplanade Recital Studio and The Arts House Chamber. It will be spread over a period of 5 days, beginning on the 14th of October 2009 and ending on the 18th of October 2009. The International A Cappella Festival will showcase performances from 4 different foreign groups compromising of Permanent Fish from Japan, Rock 4 from The Netherlands, MayTree from Korea and Tux from The Philippines. This year’s line up of a cappella teams features a variety of musical styles with rock music from Queen, Police & Sting by Rock 4 (Netherlands), Pop from Permanent Fish (Japan), Korean Pop from MayTree and the golden oldies and familiar favorites from Tux (Philippines).
