Tic Tac Tone: can't believe how time flies!

Can't believe how time flies! It was just two months ago wasn't it ... when Tic Tac Tone performedat the Esplanade Waterfront?Since then, we bade a fond farewell to Kharliang, who has decided toretire from TTT. Wish you the Best DUDE :)

So, who has taken over those funky bass lines? Say hi to Kenneth, everybody! Kenneth is quite the musician. Aside from singing, Kenneth plays a mean clarinet. Not that we've actually heard him, but he assured us his skills are quite exceptional. We've got to hear him some time ;)

So, what's on the TTT calendar?Singapore Streets Festival (29 May)
Once again, TTT will be participating in the annual streets fest held along orchard road. We haven't got the details (i.e. exact performance location and time) yet, but we're gonna be there!Tapestry 2004 (24 July)

If you have been visiting our website (did I mention it was NEW?? http://www.tictactone.com), you will realise that we appeared at theEurasian Community House and apparently performed there...? You might be wondering why we failed to inform you of thisperformance....? Well, it was actually an audition and some folks caught us at it. Soif you are wondering what Tapestry is about, watch out for thedetails on our website ;)

It is truly an interesting platform whereyou will see some of our local talents at their best.Voices Carry - A Cappella Feste (30 & 31 July)Held at the ACS Barker Concert Hall, TTT will be making a guest appearance at this event and we will be premiering a new song, InTransit. Come to think of it, this is more like a WORLD premiere :) An original composition by our very own percussionist Gene Wong. My take on it? It's very "Light House Family" ;) Do note the dates and support us, and drop by the website. We will post the details there and don't forget to say hi to Kenneth as well. BTW, before I forget, TTT is working on appearing in a theatre performance. I'm not sure how this is going to work but our dear R&B Boy (read Ken) is working on it. So, bookmark our webby andvisit regularly ok?Keep singing dudes!

The House Jacks in Singapore!!

Review: Our local percussionist star, Peter Huang opened the show for the House Jacks (HJs). He introduced a song or 2 from his debut solo album which the instruments were vocalised by him using layering to create a 'band sound'. However, the audience didn't take to his performance. It was grating to the ears when he made certain sounds: more like noise than music to the ears. There was a slight limp in his leg since his recovery from an accident, which prevented him from dancing around the stage too much. I think it's better that he sticks to his vocal percussion than his weak singing or hiphop rap. People were more impressed with his percussion than him singing or rapping. Good & tight harmony I would say. If you have heard Wes Carrol, the group percussionist, Peter Huang seem amateurish. Real solid vocal percussion from Wes. The bass is Bert Bacco, showing off his really deep rumble. Next is Deke Sharon and Garth Kravitis, the group's vocal instrumentalist wh
