"For years I have wanted to collect stories from other churchmusicians, along with my own, and publish them in a book. When Isay stories, I mean several things- wedding stories, funeralstories, choir rehearsal stories, staff meeting stories, clergystories, denominational "quirk" stories, regional differencesstories, service and Mass stories... and more. I'm looking for thegood, the bad, and the ugly! Well, not quite! I'm looking forserious stories, funny stories, stories that tell how our music has touched peoples' lives, stories that tell more about what we do asmusicians, and stories that reflect our lives as musicians. Youcould look at this as a sort of Chicken Soup for the ChurchMusician!" – Kirk Hartung
